As full-time Naples residents, we know the unique challenges seasonal homeowners face, and the importance of having someone they can trust to watch over their property.Vanguard Home Watch was founded by husband-and-wife team Joe and Elizabeth Vangelakos, whose careers have always been built on service and trust.Joe retired as a Lieutenant after 26 years with the Jersey City Police Department, where he worked uniform patrol and specialized investigative assignments including Auto Theft, Narcotics, and the South District Burglary Unit, before finishing his career in a supervisory command role. Those years developed the sound judgment, attention to detail, and accountability that guide every Home Watch visit today.Before law enforcement, Joe owned and operated a motorcycle and automotive repair business, where he learned that lasting success is built one customer at a time, through honesty, dependability, and quality workmanship.Elizabeth built her career solving problems for others, first in community development and later as a Business Manager in New York City, where she coordinated contractors and vendors and resolved complex challenges daily. Today, as a licensed Realtor, she helps homeowners navigate one of life's most important financial decisions. Her experience in vendor coordination and communication ensures every client receives responsive, personalized service.Together, we've built Vanguard Home Watch on the values that have guided us throughout our lives: integrity, accountability, and genuine care for the people we serve.Every Home Watch visit is personally performed by Joe and Elizabeth. Elizabeth is definitely one of the best real estate agents we’ve ever worked with. We’ve moved around a bit in the past few years and she exceeded even our expectations. We had a tree come down in a storm the day before closing. Elizabeth was right beside us the entire way, always looking for solutions to keep the process moving forward. She’s took a genuine interest in us as a family and we consider her a friend. This is our forever home but, as we told Elizabeth, if something calls us to move anywhere else, we don’t care if it’s Montana, she will have to get licensed in that state so we can use her services again. She’s a truly special professional and as a bonus, she’s an incredibly sweet person.
